Sustainable, chemical-free flower farming
The Story of Kangaroo Hill
Situated in the Pyrenees region of central Victoria, near the township of Moonambel, Kangaroo Hill started its journey in 1996 on degraded grazing land and remnant Box-Ironbark woodland. The property is now family-managed for conservation and horticultural purposes.
Highly disturbed areas of the property were identified and selected for the establishment of drought-tolerant cut flowers.
The first proteas and natives were planted in 2007 and by 2017 we had roughly 10 acres under cultivation. We now continue to expand and improve our growing practices.
Cut flower production is largely based around Australian natives and exotic members of the proteaceae family. We sell wholesale and direct to the public. We pride ourselves on our commitment to sustainable, chemical-free flower farming practices.
